The prestigious award, given by the online travel platform TripZilla, acknowledges the country’s diverse travel attractions, ranging from white-sand beaches to heritage sites.
According to Philippines News Agency, TripZilla, the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), an agency affiliated with the Department of Tourism, has been instrumental in marketing and promoting these destinations. The TPB was also awarded the Sustainability Leader of the Year for Asia. This accolade highlights the TPB's efforts in preserving and conserving natural attractions amidst the growing tourism industry. TripZilla commended the board for ensuring the longevity of the Philippines' natural wonders and promoting a culture of sustainable travel among both foreign and local tourists.
The TripZilla Awards, now in their ninth year, celebrate the most outstanding travel brands for delivering exceptional experiences and contributing to the advancement of the industry. This year, more than a hundred travel brands were nominated for these awards.
