Philippines Donates Books to Universiti Teknologi Brunei to Mark Diplomatic Anniversary.

Bandar Seri Begawan: To mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of the Philippines, the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines handed over 50 books to Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB). The books cover a rich diversity of subjects including history, culture, travel, architecture, and art. Such a contribution symbolises the strong cultural and educational ties between the two nations.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Her Excellency Marian Jocelyn R. Tirol-Ignacio, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to Brunei Darussalam, highlighted the significance of fostering multicultural awareness, understanding, and appreciation to promote unity within ASEAN and beyond. ‘The Philippines Corner’ serves as a cultural bridge, enabling Bruneians to explore the Filipino heritage. The books were received by Datin Paduka Professor Doctor Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, UTB Vice Chancellor.
