MANILA — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has barred four foreign nationals, identified as sex offenders, from entering the Philippines at various international airports during the Holy Week. Commissioner Norman Tansingco announced that the individuals, comprising three Americans and one British national, were turned away upon arrival.
According to the Philippine News Agency,The exclusions included 55-year-old Ennis Cheko Montgomery from the United States, who was convicted of predatory criminal sexual assault, and 79-year-old Malcolm Frederick Beaumont from the UK, known for creating indecent images of children. The others, Vincent Mariano Espinal Jr. and Chad Heitz, also from the United States, faced similar charges related to sexual misconduct. These actions are part of the BI's efforts to prevent individuals with criminal backgrounds from entering the country, with all four men now added to the immigration blacklist.
