Philippines’ ‘Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair’ Reaches Over 335,000 People

SANTA CRUZ, LAGUNA – The Philippines’ initiative to extend comprehensive government services to its citizens, known as the ‘Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair’ (BPSF), has achieved a significant milestone in Santa Cruz, Laguna under the stewardship of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

According to Philippines News Agency, who spoke on behalf of President Marcos during the expansion event on Saturday, the BPSF is dedicated to delivering reliable services from the government. The event underscored the administration’s commitment to making government assistance accessible, efficient, and orderly to all Filipinos.

Lagdameo, in his address, emphasized the government’s readiness to provide support, especially to those in dire need. The BPSF in Santa Cruz offered various services, including applications and renewals, alongside other forms of assistance, facilitated by both national and local government entities.

The fair coincided with the launch of the Cash and Rice Distribution (CARD) Program, a joint effort with the House of Representatives and the Department of Social Welfare and Development. The CARD initiative commenced in 33 legislative districts of Metro Manila, targeting 10,000 disadvantaged individuals per district, amounting to 330,000 beneficiaries in total, with the aid being distributed in four phases.

Additional support was extended to 3,000 residents in Biñan City and 2,000 in Santa Rosa City, both within Laguna province.

This national program was first introduced by President Marcos at the BPSF launch in Nabua, Camarines Sur on September 23, which was also conducted in various other locations across the Philippines.

During the launch, the President expressed that the program symbolizes the initial steps towards fostering hope and a fresh start for Filipinos, uniting the archipelago’s diverse islands under a shared vision and aspiration for a renewed nation.

Lagdameo extended gratitude to local officials for their role in materializing the project and urged them to maintain their support for all national government initiatives. He also reiterated the administration’s unwavering dedication to public service and its goal of inclusive progress for all citizens.
