Bandar seri begawan: The 14th ASEAN Schools Games 2025 saw an exciting day of athletics on 24th November, with a series of events taking place at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium. The morning began with the prize presentation for the boy’s 800 meter and 3 thousand meter running events, both secured by athletes from the Philippines. The event was graced by Doctor Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary for Higher Education at the Ministry of Education. Following the prize distribution, the semi-finals for the girl’s and boy’s 400 meter running events commenced.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the afternoon session was packed with more finals and prize presentations across various athletics disciplines. Dr. Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin, Permanent Secretary for Core Education at the Ministry of Education, presented prizes for the javelin throw, long jump, 110 meter hurdles, 400 meter run, 4×100 meters, and 1500 meters events. Thailand claimed victory in the girl’s javelin event as well as the boy’s 400 meter run and the 110 meter hurdles. Indonesia emerged as the winner in the girl’s long jump. The Philippines continued their success with a win in the girl’s 400 meter run.
