Pencak Silat Competition Celebrates Royal Birthday in Temburong

Temburong: The Brunei Darussalam National Pencak Silat Association, PERSIB, organized a Pencak Silat Competition in the Temburong District as part of the celebrations for His Majesty’s 79th Birthday. The event took place at the Mukim Bokok Community Hall in Kampung Rataie, Temburong, on the afternoon of July 25th.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the competition saw participation from 23 individuals. The closing ceremony was officiated by Awang Hassan Baha bin Haji Umar, the Acting Temburong District Officer. Earlier in the day, the opening of the competition was officiated by Yang Berhormat Haji Awang Sulaiman bin Haji Nasir, a Member of the Legislative Council.

The competition featured 13 categories, and winners from each category will have the opportunity to represent the Temburong District at the national level.
