BACONG, NEGROS ORIENTAL — In a targeted anti-drug enforcement action, authorities seized PHP 1.3 million worth of shabu and apprehended a suspect during a buy-bust operation early Wednesday in Bacong, Negros Oriental.
According to Philippine News Agency, spokesperson of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO), the suspect, known by the alias "Axel," 58, of Barangay Ubos, Bayawan City, was arrested after he allegedly sold suspected shabu to an undercover operative at Purok Masinabtanon in Barangay Lutao around 12:31 a.m. Approximately 205 grams of suspected shabu, valued at an estimated street value of PHP 1.394 million, were confiscated during the operation.
The suspect is categorized as a "high-value individual" on the NOPPO's list of suspected drug personalities. Authorities are currently preparing drug charges against him as the case progresses.
