Post: Over 2 Million Pilgrims Gather for Wuquf in Arafah during Hajj Season

ARAFAT, BRUNEI DARUSSALAM - The sacred ritual of Wuquf in Arafah was observed by over two million haj pilgrims from around the world, including participants from Brunei Darussalam, on June 15, 2024.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the pilgrims engaged in various religious practices such as reciting the tahmid, takbir, and tahlil while in Arafah. The area was prepared with comfortable camps equipped with air conditioning to support the pilgrims' needs. A particularly solemn moment was noted during the Fardhu Zuhur prayer, which was followed by the Arafah Sermon.

After their time in Arafah, the pilgrims moved to Muzdalifah to spend the night, followed by a series of rituals including tawaf and sa'ie at Baitullah, concluding with tahallalul. The journey continued with the Stoning of the Devil in Mina during the tasyrik days.
