The Brunei History Centre through the Research and Documentation Division in collaboration with the Publication and Marketing Division organised a workshop yesterday morning on documenting oral history sources. The workshop took place at the History Gallery of the Brunei History Centre.
Awang Mohammad Faisal bin Haji Mat Salleh, Acting Deputy Head of the Brunei History Centre in his welcoming speech said oral history is one of the methodology to obtain and gather information on history, which will then be delivered to the community especially the young generation through history documentation. 45 participants comprising government officers and staff as well as students from higher education institutions took part in the workshop, where they were briefed on the basic history writing and description and produce history writing during the practical session.
