Newborns Receive Gifts in Religious Ceremony at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital
Bandar Seri Begawan – In a heartfelt ceremony at the Women and Children’s Centre of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital, 15 newborns, born on the 1st of Muharram 1446 Hijrah, were celebrated with gifts.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the Islamic Syiar Development Division orchestrated the event. The ceremony featured notable figures including Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddinbin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs, and several other dignitaries.
Each of the 15 babies, consisting of 9 boys and 6 girls, received an array of gifts including baby essentials, religious books, a Si-Manja Savings account with $200, and a $60 hamper from Perbadanan TAIB. Additionally, Syarikat Takaful Brunei Darussalam contributed a $300 voucher for Takaful Nur Savings and a ‘Gym Mat’. These contributions highlight the community’s dedication to starting the newborns’ lives with spiritual and material support.
