NDC and TRB Finalize Land Acquisition for Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 Project
MANILA — The National Development Corp. (NDC) and the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) have concluded agreements to secure land in Pandacan, Manila, for the ongoing Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 Project. The formalization of the deal aims to facilitate the development of a critical infrastructure project designed to alleviate traffic congestion in the metropolitan area.
According to Philippines News Agency, who both presided over the signing last June 11 at the Philippine Innovation Hub, the transaction involves a 1.3-hectare portion of a larger 5-hectare property owned by NDC. The property has been segmented by the construction of the Skyway, leading to the necessity of two separate deeds of sale. One deed covers the area directly impacted by the main alignment of the Skyway, while the other pertains to land affected by an interconnection structure.
The agreement is designed to ensure that the land acquisition process is both smooth and fair, supporting the broader objectives of the Skyway 3 project. Both parties have expressed their commitment to urban development that not only addresses transport needs but also upholds community welfare and sustainable development principles.
