Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Darussalam - The National Archives Seminar 2023, emphasizing a contemporary and innovative approach to resource management, commenced on the morning of November 7th at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).
According to Radio Television Brunei, Youth and Sports, the seminar highlighted the importance of applying Maqasid al-Shariah in preserving cultural heritage through the role of National Archives. Doctor Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Walsalfelah urged for cooperation between the National Archives and other institutions to preserve national cultural heritage. The seminar featured a keynote presentation by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkiye to Brunei Darussalam on "Preservation of Turkish Archives and its impact on the vision of Türkiye". Organized by the Museums Department in collaboration with the Brunei Darussalam Archives and the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Centre for Islamic Studies (SOASCIS) at UBD, the seminar aims to shape the future of dynamic resource management.
