Munajat Night Highlights Spiritual Significance of Ramadan Fasting
Bandar Seri Begawan: It is compulsory for Muslims to fast during Ramadan, a practice that goes beyond abstaining from food and drink, aiming to purify the soul while offering spiritual rewards and blessings. This was emphasized during a Tadabbur Al-Qur’an session at the Munajat Night, organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in collaboration with the Rabitah International Alumni Al-Azhar Brunei Darussalam.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event featured the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, led by Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, Ra’es of Rabitah International Alumni Al-Azhar Brunei Darussalam. Held in conjunction with the World Al-Azhar Al-Syarif Day, the gathering was attended by members of the Rabitah International Alumni Al-Azhar Brunei Darussalam, teaching staff and students from the Arab Republic of Egypt, mosque takmir committee members, and congregants from mosques, suraus, and religious halls across the nation, as well as officers and staff from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and its departments.
