Post: Multi-Faceted Approach Vital to Prevent Online Gender-Based Violence in Brunei

Kampung Jerudong: A multi-faceted approach is vital to prevent online gender-based violence. Hence, creating safe digital environments is about protecting individual rights and maintaining the dignity and freedom. This was underlined by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Brunei Darussalam during a roundtable discussion on "Building Safer Digital Spaces in Preventing Online Gender-Based Violence Against Women and Girls in Brunei Darussalam". It was launched in Kampung Jerudong, 22nd March morning.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Her Excellency Caryn McClelland stated that the discussion will bring together various parties to build comprehensive strategies for safer online spaces. The discussion was organised by the 'Project Women Brunei' with the support of the 'United States Small Grant Fund'. Also present was His Excellency Dato Paduka Doctor Haji Omar bin Haji Khalid, Brunei Darussalam's Representative to the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children for Children's Rights.
