Post: MTIC Outlines Strategic Plan for Development and Connectivity


Bandar seri begawan: The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) is aligning its goals with Wawasan Brunei 2035, as emphasized during the Goodwill Meeting Session held at Dewan Amar Pahlawan. The session focused on MTIC’s involvement in the Manpower Blueprint, Social Blueprint, and Economic Blueprint, aiming to enhance human capital, digital ecosystems, connectivity, and logistics services.



According to Radio Television Brunei, Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha highlighted MTIC’s progress throughout 2025, covering areas such as transport and cybersecurity, service digitalization, and maritime system modernization. The session also reviewed initiatives contributing to the economy and increasing national revenue while updating on projects under the 12th National Development Plan and public transport service projects. Additionally, a new Strategic Plan for 2026 to 2030, MTIC 2030, was introduced, reflecting on past achievements and challenges.



Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Daud bin Jihan, Head of the Legislative Council Delegation, expressed support for the strategic focus on improving service efficiency and sustainable development. He noted that the plan would serve as a pivotal guide in enhancing service delivery and contributing to national development.
