Post: Ministry of Home Affairs Hosts Open Day to Enhance Public Engagement

Brunei Darussalam: The Ministry of Home Affairs' Open Day, 'MOHA Open Day 2023,' is a significant initiative to facilitate public interaction and provide insights into the ministry's functions, roles, duties, and responsibilities. The open day event is part of the ministry’s outreach efforts to educate the public on its operations and services.

According to Radio Television Brunei, ,The event was officially inaugurated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs. The minister emphasized that the programme serves as a platform for disseminating accurate information, including new developments and initiatives, especially those involving information technology, as well as enforced acts and regulations.

The open day, held at the Fire and Rescue Department Headquarters in Berakas, features various activities, including demonstration sessions from the Prisons Department and the Fire and Rescue Department, as well as a Talk Series covering a range of topics. The event also provides business opportunities for local businesses, showcasing products from One Village One Product (1K1P), TUNAS Business Partner, Food Trucks, and Insaf Products from the Prisons Department. The open day, which concludes on Thursday, coincides with the launch of the Ministry of Home Affairs' Strategic Plan 2023 to 2027 and the Insaf Product Catalog from the Prisons Department.
