Bandar Seri Begawan — The Meteorological Department has issued an advisory for the public due to expected active weather conditions continuing until November 11.
According to Radio Television Brunei, During this transition period, which lasts until the end of November, local wind patterns are significantly impacting daily weather. The forecast predicts heavy and thundery showers, particularly in inland areas during late afternoons and potentially spreading to coastal areas at night. Wind gusts may reach up to 45 kilometers per hour during these showers. The sea state in Brunei waters is expected to remain slight, at under one meter. There are warnings for potential flash floods in low-lying and flood-prone areas, as well as near river banks during heavy rains and high tides. The public should also be alert to the possibility of landslides and falling trees during severe weather conditions.
