Kuala belait: A Malaysian man was charged with an offence under Section 146(1)(d) of the Excise Order 2006 for possessing 102 cans of various types of alcoholic drinks without a valid permit. The 33-year-old, Felix Peter, was found guilty of possessing the goods during an inspection at the Arrivals Section at the Sungai Tujuh control post.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the accused was sentenced to a fine of BND5,000 or five months imprisonment, in default. All the goods were confiscated to be destroyed.
