SAN JOSE DEL MONTE CITY — In an early morning operation on Wednesday, police in San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan, arrested eight individuals and confiscated shabu valued at approximately PHP1.56 million.



According to Philippines News Agency, director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, the raid was executed by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit at around 1 a.m. in the Capili compound, Zone 1 of Barangay Grace Ville. The team seized 11 sachets of a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, totaling about 230 grams, along with PHP3,000 in marked bills and a belt bag.



Col. Arnedo stated that the suspects were taken to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for further examination. Charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared for filing in court against the arrested individuals. He emphasized the police department’s ongoing commitment to combating the illegal drug trade in the region.



“Our actions demonstrate our relentless efforts to curb drug-related activities and apprehend perpetrators, ensuring a safer environment for all,” said Arnedo in an interview following the operation.
