MABIMS Informal Meeting Held in Singapore to Discuss Muslim Development in the Region
Singapore – The 20th Informal Meeting of Religious Ministers of MABIMS (Majlis Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore) focused on the latest developments of Muslims in the region. The meeting, held in the Republic of Singapore, discussed the progress of strategic focus cooperation programs under the Strategic Plan 2021-2025.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Brunei Darussalam’s delegation was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. The meeting was attended by member states including Brunei Darussalam, the Republic of Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Republic of Singapore.
The meeting also featured the launch of the MABIMS Tafsir ‘Ilmi Book, with Brunei Darussalam coordinating the effort. Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Halal for MABIMS was signed, marking a significant step in regional collaboration.
