Launching of UTB-STE Connect 2025
Berakas: The Universiti Teknologi Brunei Science, Technology, and Engineering Connect, or UTB-STE Connect 2025 reflects the shared commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, reminding that science, technology, and innovation must not only drive progress and prosperity but also uphold sustainability and inclusivity. This is to ensure that development benefits both people and the planet. This was emphasised by the Minister of Education at the launching of the UTB-STE Connect 2025 at the International Convention Centre in Berakas on 20th October morning. Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd. Salleh, who is also the Chairperson of UTB Council, also said the vision is also stated in the Ministry of Education’s recently launched Greening Education Plan to advance environmental awareness, sustainable practices, and green innovation across the education ecosystem.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event, which will be held until the 22nd of October 2025 with the theme ‘Technology Innovations for a Sustainable Future’, provided a platform for academics, scientists, researchers, engineers, industry experts, and other stakeholders to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and propose innovative solutions addressing contemporary sustainability challenges.
