The launching of the OLIVE application represents a significant milestone in Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, BIBD Group's efforts to fully digitalise its end-to-end financial services. The Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, who is also Chairman of the BIBD Group said the launch is a very significant step forward towards the acceleration of Brunei's digital transformation. Speaking at the launch of the BIBD Olive mobile application, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah explained that the application offers personalised facilities that meet the unique needs and preferences of customers.
With the launching, BIBD At-Tamwil Berhad is the first financial institution in the country to use 'Electronic Know Your Customer', eKYC technology which means its customers can open an account, apply for financing or do transactions digitally without having to be physically present at the counters.
