Kemba Walker, a notable four-time NBA All-Star, has officially retired from professional basketball following a 12-season career. Walker made the announcement via a post on X, reflecting on his achievements and expressing excitement for future endeavors.
According to Philippines News Agency, he emphasized that while basketball would remain a significant part of his life, he is now looking forward to the next chapter beyond the hardwood. “This has all been a dream. When I look back, I still can’t believe the things I achieved in my career,” Walker remarked, highlighting the surreal nature of his professional journey. Over the course of his NBA tenure, Walker boasted an impressive average of 19.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 5.3 assists across 750 games.
The 34-year-old guard played for several teams throughout his NBA career, including the Charlotte Hornets, Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, and New York Knicks, and spent his final season playing in France with Monaco.
