Bandar seri begawan: The Ministry of Religious Affairs, through the Building and Maintenance Division, has announced the closure of the Kampung Kiarong Islamic Cemetery for burials as it has reached full capacity. Despite this closure, the public is still welcome to visit the cemetery.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the decision to close the cemetery for further burials aims to preserve its sanctity. To accommodate future burials, alternative arrangements have been made at nearby cemeteries. The Ministry has provided information on Islamic cemeteries and lists of mosques equipped for funeral rites, accessible through their website or social media platforms.
