Bandar seri begawan: The Embassy of Japan recently organized an Ikebana workshop, showcasing the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement, at the Lifelong Learning Centre in RPN Lambak Kanan. The event, held on the afternoon of April 18th, was attended by 40 participants who gathered to learn about this cultural practice.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the workshop was graced by the presence of Doctor Haji Muhammad Hadi bin Muhammad Melayong, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. His Excellency Kikuta Yutaka, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Brunei Darussalam, was also in attendance. The session was conducted by a certified Sogetsu Ikebana instructor from Japan, who guided participants through the principles of harmony, balance, and simplicity that define this art form.
