Post: Islamic Financial Literacy Day Highlights Importance of Syariah-Compliant Economic Development

Gadong: The Islamic Financial Literacy Day aims to enhance awareness and understanding of Islamic financial principles among university staff and the broader community, aligning with Syariah principles and sustainable economic development. Organized by Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA) through the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Finance, the event's inauguration ceremony took place at the UNISSA Campus in Gadong.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony was officiated by Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of UNISSA. Running until the 5th of February, the program includes exhibitions by Islamic financial institutions involved in the Islamic Finance ecosystem within the country. Additionally, there are food and beverage sales activities designed to engage the community.

The event aims to provide early exposure to the younger generation, particularly secondary and university students, emphasizing the importance of developing the Islamic finance industry. This initiative is aligned with the goal of producing knowledgeable, skilled, and competitive human capital to support the industry's growth.
