Isabela Receives PHP500 Million Aid through PBBM’s Serbisyo Caravan
Isabela province, Philippines – House of Representatives Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez led the launch of the 8th installment of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) in Isabela province. This event, held at the Isabela Sports Complex in Ilagan City, is set to deliver PHP500 million worth of programs and cash assistance to residents on November 25 and 26.
According to Philippines News Agency, speaking at the launch, the Marcos administration is committed to assisting those striving for a better life. The BPSF embodies the promise of a proactive government that actively reaches out to its citizens to swiftly address their needs, rather than waiting for them to seek help.
The government, Romualdez stated, is fully aware of the challenges faced by people, especially in remote barangays, in accessing government services. He emphasized that the Serbisyo Fair brings these services directly to the people, covering a wide range of needs including health, livelihood, employment, and education.
Representing President Marcos, Romualdez noted that the BPSF in Isabela marks the first such event in the Cagayan Valley region and is the eighth installment of the Serbisyo Caravan nationwide. The two-day festival of services sees participation from about 36 national government agencies, offering more than 195 services to an expected 100,000 beneficiaries.
A total of PHP500 million in programs and services will be distributed during the fair, including PHP152 million in cash aid for Isabela citizens. The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program will have a significant presence, with payouts expected to reach over 42,000 individual beneficiaries across Isabela, totaling PHP140 million.
Additionally, the caravan will offer various scholarship programs from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Commission on Higher Education. Livelihood assistance for multiple sectors is also planned, targeting pre-identified eligible clients throughout Isabela.
A highlight of the Serbisyo Fair is the free Pasasalamat Concert scheduled for the first night at the Ilagan Sports Complex, expected to attract at least 35,000 attendees. The event is hosted by House Deputy Speaker Antonio ‘Tonypet’ T. Albano, Isabela Governor Rodolfo T. Albano III, and Ilagan City Mayor Josemarie L. Diaz.
