Intending Haj Pilgrims Undergo Health Screening

Health screening for selected intending haj pilgrims from Brunei Muara District for this year's haj season begins on the 2nd February. The health screening takes place at the Haj Pilgrims Health Screening Clinic, 5th Floor, Ong Sum Ping Condominium from 8.30 in the morning until 12 noon and 1.30 to 4 in the afternoon.

Every selected intending haj pilgrims is required to undergo health screening to ensure their health level is in the best condition while performing the 5th pillar of Islam. The intending haj pilgrims are also required to bring along their smart card, Bru-Hims card, health record book and Haj Health Guidelines for Brunei Darussalam Haj Pilgrim, yellow vaccination book and appointment card. Dr Haji Muhammad Firdaus Bin Haji Mat Daud, Senior Medical Officer said that after the preliminary health screening has been carried out, the intending pilgrims will be given a specific time and date to carry out blood tests, electrocardiogram, ECG test and X-rays, subject to the age of the respective pilgrims. After all the examinations have been conducted, they will be contacted by the Haj Medical Clinic in regards to the results and if they pass the examination. Will be contacted to collect their respective health booklets. They will also be given a date to make an appointment for Meningococcal and Influenza or Flu injections before leaving for the Holy Land.
