Bandar Seri Begawan: The Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation, JASTRe, has issued a compound fine to an individual for an offence under the Miscellaneous Offences Act 2021. Hamid bin Awg. Jafar received a One Hundred Dollar fine for disposing of plastic food containers in an area near the Royal Wharf in Bandar Seri Begawan. The individual has been given seven days to settle the fine.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the incident highlights the ongoing efforts of the authorities to enforce environmental regulations and maintain public cleanliness.
