Post: Iloilo Triumphs Over Philippine Air Force for Second Victory in PNVF Champions League

ILOILO CITY - Iloilo secured their second consecutive win in the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) Champions League, overcoming the Philippine Air Force (PAF) with a straight-set victory, 25-18, 25-21, 25-21, at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum on Monday.

According to Philippines News Agency, John Ben San Andres spearheaded the D'Navigators' victory with a stellar performance that included 15 attacks, two blocks, and one ace. Kyle Angelo Villamor contributed significantly with 15 points, while Francis Philip Saura added eight points to the team's tally. This victory follows Iloilo's win against VNS Asereht on Sunday, with scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-20.

On the opposing side, Alnakran Abdilla was the top scorer for PAF, amassing 21 points, 19 of which came from attacks. Pol Gringo Salvador supported with 11 kills and one block, and Edwin Tolentino added to the effort with four spikes and one service ace, in a match that lasted one hour and 31 minutes.

In another match, the College of Saint Benilde bounced back from its opening-day defeat by securing a win against Savouge in straight sets, 25-20, 25-23, 25-23. Mike Adrian Balbacal led the Blazers with 14 points, while Arnel Christian Aguilar and Jacob Agassi Herrera each added 12 points. This victory was crucial for the Blazers, who had previously faced a setback against the Cignal HD Spikers with scores of 19-25, 21-25, 20-25 on the opening day. Savouge, on the other hand, entered the match following a victory against the Philippine Navy, 25-21, 15-25, 25-22, 25-22.
