Post: Ilocos Sur to Host Content Creators Roadshow in November

VIGAN — The Ilocos Region's local content creators are slated to convene at the Vigan Convention Center in Ilocos Sur province on November 10 for a roadshow dedicated to original content creation.

According to Philippines News Agency, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is partnering with the Creative Content Creators Association of the Philippines Inc. (CCCAP) to facilitate this event. The roadshow is designed to unite creative professionals and entrepreneurs with the goal of fostering the development and curation of original content that meets international standards.

The event aims to provide a platform for local creators to showcase their work and to discuss the growth and development opportunities available in the global market. Falgui-Baluyan emphasized that by collaborating, local talent could gain the momentum needed to thrive in the competitive creative industry.

Among the participants is Angelie Banaag, an Ilocana artist and fashion entrepreneur, who will share her experience as a self-taught creator during the roadshow. Banaag, the proprietor of "Artitos and Istariray," is recognized for her line of handcrafted earrings and clothing. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity provided by the DTI to present her work and to inspire others through her creative journey.

The roadshow is set to feature an array of works from local artists and will cover topics such as the challenges faced by creators in the region, intellectual property rights, and the evolving landscape for the creative sector.

The DTI and CCCAP have extended an open invitation for individuals interested in joining the roadshow, allowing them to register online at no cost.
