Health Talk Series Marks World Children’s Day with Focus on Children’s Health
Bandar seri begawan: In conjunction with World Children’s Day, the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports; Ministry of Education; Brunei Paediatric Society, and the Children’s Cancer Foundation, organized a Health Talk Series at Dewan Al-‘Afiah, Ministry of Health, on the morning of November 1st.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event featured presentations by medical experts on various topics related to children’s and adolescents’ health. The series also included interactive activities such as ‘Kahoot’ quizzes, educational poster exhibitions, and prize games. These activities aimed to enhance the community’s understanding of the importance of investing in children’s health and pregnancy care, which can have a significant impact. Dr. Norehan Binti Johari, a Pediatric Consultant at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital, expressed hope that the talks would encourage civil servants and the public to adopt a healthy lifestyle and serve as positive ro
le models for children and adolescents. She also emphasized the goal of producing a healthy generation through spiritual, social, mental, and physical development.
