Giant-Sized Flag Hoisting Ceremony Marks National Day Celebration

Bandar Seri Begawan: In conjunction with the 41st National Day Celebration, the Celebration’s Executive Committee held a Giant-sized National Flag Hoisting Ceremony at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex Open Area in the capital on the morning of 15th February. The ceremony was attended by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development, who also served as Acting Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the flag hoisting ceremony was officiated by personnel of the Royal Brunei Navy. During the event, the national flag and posters related to the National Day Celebration were handed over to District Officers. The hoisting of the national flag serves as a call for all citizens and residents of the country to display the flag in celebration of National Day, starting from the 15th of February until the 25th of February.
