Bandar Seri Begawan: More than 200 youths from the four districts and delegates from over six Southeast Asian countries attended the Future Ocean Changemakers Youth Forum 2025, held in conjunction with Ocean Week Brunei. The forum, hosted by Poni Divers with the support of the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, took place at Universiti Brunei Darussalam on the morning of June 24th.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was graced by Dayang Noralinda binti Haji Ibrahim, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism. This year’s forum theme, ‘Shaping Careers, Sustaining Oceans,’ marks the first initiative, symbolizing a revitalized commitment by Brunei’s youth towards the protection and stewardship of marine resources. The 2-day forum aims to inspire and empower youth in shaping sustainable ocean futures and encourage exploration of marine-related career paths in marine science.
