Bandar Seri Begawan: Reading activities not only enrich children's vocabulary, but also help improve concentration, creativity, and thinking skills. Tonight's bulletin shares one of the initiatives of an organisation to promote reading among children. Reading books physically can help children focus more than reading using digital devices. Using physical books can also reduce children's screen time and encourage them to interact with their parents and those around them.
According to Radio Television Brunei, supported by the Language and Literature, BD Creative Centre.bn or BDCC took the initiative to hold the Kembara Membaca programme to instill a culture of reading books for children through creative and practical experiences. The Kembara Membaca programme also included interactive activities related to storybooks as well as explanations and question and answer sessions on subjects such as Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Educating children to actively read books is a valuable investment in children's development and opens up opportunities for them to succeed in the future.
