Bandar seri begawan: In conjunction with International Archives Day 2025, the Museums Department through the Brunei Darussalam Archives organised a forum titled Accessible Archive: Accessible for All. The forum aimed to improve the community’s understanding on the importance of access to archived information, and the role of archival institutions in ensuring national records continue to be preserved and is accessible to all. It took place at the Brunei Energy Hub Dermaga Diraja in the capital, 26th July morning.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was attended by Awang Ajman bin Haji Meludin, Permanent Secretary for Civil Service Governance at the Prime Minister’s Office. The forum featured three panellists who shared their views on increasing understanding on the value and function of archival institutions. Also in attendance was Doctor Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Acting Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. In conjunction with International Archives Day, an exhibition titled ‘Wajah Brunei: Menyusuri Memori’ is extended until the 3rd of August for the public.
