Bandar seri begawan: Cultural and poetry performances were among the key attractions during the festive stages set up in all districts to celebrate the Royal Birthday on the night of July 25th. The events aimed to enliven the atmosphere and engage local communities in a vibrant celebration.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the ‘Malam Irama Kita Cerita Kita’ event was showcased in the capital and was organized by Kencana Laila Entertainment. The event was graced by the presence of Yang Berhormat Awang Zainol bin Haji Mohamed, a Member of the Legislative Council, who attended to witness the array of performances.
In the Belait District, the festive stage came alive with the Cultural Night Performance by the Kampung Lumut Dua Consultative Council. The event saw the attendance of Awang Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Muhammad, Acting Belait District Officer, and Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad bin Abdullah ALIAS Lim Swee Ann, who is also a Member of the Legislative Council.
Meanwhile, in the Tutong District, the ‘Kugiran’ Performance was the highlight, with Awang Haji Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri, Acting Tutong District Officer, and Yang Berhormat Awang Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan, another Member of the Legislative Council, joining the festivities.
In the Temburong District, the ‘Simfoni Jiwa Belia’ event took centre stage, organized by Belia Permata Hijau and the Temburong Youth and Sports Department. This performance allowed the youth to express their creativity through arts, including singing and poetry. The event was attended by Dayang Hajah Umi Kalthum binti Haji Abdul Karim, Director of Youth and Sports, and Yang Berhormat Haji Awang Sulaiman bin Haji Nasir, a Member of the Legislative Council.
