Kampung Pulaie: The country is hosting its inaugural Weightlifting Technical Course at the Sports School in Kampung Pulaie, a 4-day event set to conclude on 22nd June 2025.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the course is organized by the Brunei Darussalam National Weightlifting Association with support from the Youth and Sports Department and the Southeast Asian Weightlifting Federation. This initiative aims to enhance the standard of weightlifting in the country through technical courses led by certified coaches. The event has attracted 14 participants, including the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 gold medallist, Hildilyn Diaz from the Philippines. The course is being delivered by two experienced lecturers, Siritak Thatman from Thailand and Tom Liaw from Singapore.
