BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, BRUNEI – Two local companies, Mr DIY Sendirian Berhad and Gena Corporation Sendirian Berhad, have been penalized for illegally dumping rubbish in public areas. The enforcement action was taken under the provisions of the Miscellaneous Offences Act, 2021.
According to the authorities, each company has been fined $1,000. They have been given a week to settle the fine or face legal proceedings in court. The fines are part of ongoing efforts to maintain cleanliness and discourage the misuse of public spaces.
