Bandar Seri Begawan: The fourth and final flight carrying 237 Haj pilgrims from Brunei Darussalam landed safely at Brunei International Airport on the afternoon of June 16.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the arrival was met with significant anticipation and a warm welcome. Present to receive the pilgrims were several high-ranking officials, including Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs. Also in attendance were Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence, and His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Buraithin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Brunei.
The return of the pilgrims marks the conclusion of this year’s Haj journey for citizens of Brunei Darussalam. The presence of such distinguished officials at the airport underscores the importance of the pilgrimage and the safe return of the pilgrims to their home country.
