Post: Filipino Woman Embraces Islam at Islamic Da’wah Centre

Kampung pulaie: The ongoing efforts of the Islamic Da'wah Centre to empower and disseminate Islamic teachings in the country continue to demonstrate positive outcomes as a Filipino woman recently embraced Islam as her new faith. The conversion ceremony was held at the Islamic Da'wah Centre in Kampung Pulaie on the afternoon of February 4th.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the woman, formerly known as Cleofe Timtim Serondo, has adopted the name Yasmin binti Abdullah upon her conversion. The ceremony was attended by several notable figures, including Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Haji Awang Asbi, the wife of the Minister of Religious Affairs.

The Islamic Da'wah Centre's efforts have resulted in 39 people embracing Islam in the country from early January until February 3rd, 2026. In the Brunei Muara District alone, 14 individuals have converted to Islam during this period, highlighting the significant impact of the Centre's initiatives.
