According to Radio Television Brunei, the total value of agricultural and agrifood commodity exports to the Republic of Singapore, as of November last year, reached around 1.8-4 million dollars. From the amount, exports for chicken eggs contributed to 1.7-6 million dollars.

The country has been consistently exporting chicken eggs to the Republic of Singapore since 2023. As of November last year, around 10.8 million chicken eggs were exported to the country compared to only 5.1 million chicken eggs in the previous year.

The country’s recent success in exporting processed beef products to the Republic of Singapore is another achievement in the development of the agricultural and agrifood sectors, especially for livestock-based agricultural products. Apart from livestock-based agricultural products, the country also exports crop products and processed products to Singapore, including melons, shrimp crackers, chili sauce, ready-to-cook products, bakery, and biscuits. Such achievement shows that local entrepreneurs are able to produce quality, safe, competitive products and are able to compete with international products. The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, through the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood, will continue to work with relevant agencies in assisting and encouraging entrepreneurs to continue to progressively increase their respective products.
