Post: Expanded Free WiFi Service at NAIA Terminal 3 with Converge

Manila, Philippines – Enhanced connectivity is now available for passengers at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3, following the launch of Converge's free WiFi service. The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced the initiative, which is part of a broader plan to expand internet services across the airport's terminals.

According to Philippines News Agency, DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista, Converge, a leading fiber broadband provider in the country, will extend its free internet services to Terminals 1 and 2 in the coming months. Bautista, during the program's launch, emphasized the importance of this connectivity upgrade in elevating NAIA to higher global standards. He also expressed gratitude to Converge CEO Dennis Uy for fulfilling his commitment to provide free WiFi at NAIA.

Bautista encouraged more public-private partnerships to enhance services at the country's transportation hubs, including airports, seaports, bus terminals, and rail systems. Converge first initiated its free WiFi service at NAIA Terminal 4 in July, offering a 120-minute internet access period. Other telecommunication giants like PLDT-Smart and Globe also provide similar services at NAIA.

In preparation for the upcoming Christmas holiday rush, Bautista confirmed that NAIA is ready to handle the expected increase in passenger traffic. He reminded passengers to book and plan their flights early to ensure smooth and timely travel.
