Relation between a village and the village consultative council needs to be strengthened or empowered effectively through the Whole of Government and Whole of Nation approaches. Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs stated the matter in the motion of vote of thanks.
Yang Berhormat added mukim and village consultative councils must be active and responsive in overseeing the resident's welfare. Through the mukim and village consultative councils, Penghulu and village chiefs shoulder and uphold the trust as well as responsibility of the position they hold.
