DUMAGUETE CITY — Over two thousand job opportunities are available in Dumaguete City this Independence Day, as local and international employers gather at Robinsons Place mall for a significant job fair.

According to Philippines News Agency, head of the Dumaguete City Public Employment Service Office (PESO), the event will feature 1,411 local and 1,142 overseas vacancies. A total of twenty employers, including both local and international companies, will participate in the fair, offering a wide range of employment opportunities to job seekers in the region.

Additionally, the Philippine Army will also conduct recruitment activities during the event, providing career options for those interested in military service.

Parallel to the job fair, city and regional celebrations will take place, with Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo leading the Independence Day rites at Quezon Park and Negros Oriental Governor Manuel Sagarbarria hosting a separate commemorative event at Freedom Park.
