To replace the Driving License Card and Vehicle License Sticker, the Short Message System, SMS, is implemented as an interim measure in ensuring the continuity of renewal services under the Business Continuity Plan, BCP, LTD. The measure was implemented from 8th of October 2021 to 11th of December 2021 for Driving License SMS and 8th of October 2021 to 15th of December 2021 for Vehicle License SMS.
From 1st of August 2021 to 13th of December 2021, LTD has received a total of 131,254 applications, in which 87,616 for vehicle licenses and 43,638 for driving licenses. Out of the number of applications, 97% which is 127,415 applications were approved and only 3% which is 3,839 applications is still being processed. Meanwhile, 97,263 SMS were sent, which is 66,290 SMS for vehicle license applications and 30,973 SMS for driving license applications.
