Post: Distribution of Sacrificial Meat by Local Institutions

Bandar seri begawan: The recent rites of sacrifice in Brunei saw active participation from several prominent institutions, including Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE), and the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association.

According to Radio Television Brunei, UBD conducted its sacrificial ceremony on the afternoon of May 29, during which six buffaloes and one goat were sacrificed. The event was graced by the presence of Doctor Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Vice Chancellor of UBD. The ceremony was organized collaboratively by the Spiritual and Community Service Unit and the UBD Student Representative Council.

Similarly, IBTE hosted a Korban ceremony at its Nakhoda Ragam Campus, where two buffaloes were sacrificed. The distribution of the sacrificial meats was overseen by Doctor Haji Mohd Zamri bin Haji Sabli, the Director of Technical Education.

The Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association also participated in the annual tradition. The distribution of sacrificial meats was officiated by Awang Haji Junaidi bin Haji Hussin, the Chief Commissioner of Scouts for the association.
