Muara: In conjunction with the Diamond Jubilee Wedding Anniversary of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha, the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) announced the issuance of four types of commemorative coins. The announcement was made by the Executive Director of Currency Management at a press conference held at the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the coins will be crafted in gold, silver, and cupronickel. Pengiran Maslina binti Pengiran Haji Mahmud highlighted that the design reflects the enduring love and harmony of the royal couple's 60-year marriage. The coins' reverse side features the personal emblems of both His Majesty and Her Majesty, symbolizing the sovereignty and strength of the beloved Royal institution.
The commemorative coins will be available for purchase at the BDCB booth during the 32nd Consumer Fair and Trade Expo from 28th January 2026 to 1st February 2026 at the International Convention Centre. They will also be available at the BDCB Gift Shop, located at the Ministry of Finance and Economy Complex, starting 2nd February.
