Post: Closing of Reef Ball Brunei Programme Marks Milestone in Marine Conservation

Serasa: Towards advancing marine conservation, coral reef restoration, and sustainable fisheries in the country, Poni Group has recently organised the SC Tubular Solutions Sendirian Berhad Brunei Reef Ball School Programme. Participated by 116 youth as certified Reef Ball Fabricators and Discoverers, a total of 60 reef balls were successfully fabricated throughout the programme, which led to the deployment of one hundred reef balls in Brunei waters. The programme closing ceremony was held at the Department of Fisheries, Serasa, 21st January morning.

According to Radio Television Brunei, present at the event was Her Excellency Eve Lubin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to Brunei Darussalam. The programme provides skills in coral reef restoration, besides raising awareness on marine biodiversity and mitigating shoreline erosion.
