Bandar Seri Begawan: From soap, it eventually became a product like ‘Fresh Flowers’ that had the potential to penetrate the international market. Some of you may think these are fresh flowers, but they are handmade ‘soap flowers’ or ‘bunga sabun’ produced by a local entrepreneur, Dayang Hajah Rozana binti Haji Zainuddin, owner of Safaa Enterprise. The manufacturing process is a bit complicated, it requires perseverance, creativity and innovation to produce long-lasting and unique ‘bunga sabun’. The ingredients needed include flour, glue and colouring.
According to Radio Television Brunei, in terms of care, ‘bunga sabun’ are easier to manage than fresh flowers. In fact, if given proper care, ‘bunga sabun’ can last for several years.
